Fundraise For Us

Taking part in the C3P is an incredible achievement — and you can make it go even further by raising money for Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team. Setting up a JustGiving page is quick and simple using the link below.

If you raise more than £250, we’ll refund your entry fee as a thank you for your support. Once you’ve hit your target, just drop us an email with a link to your JustGiving page and we’ll take care of the rest.

Every pound you raise helps us train, equip and deploy our volunteer team so we can continue responding 24/7 to those who need us most.

Start Time

Start times will be 08:00 to 08:30 for the long route, O8:30 to 09:30 for the Short and Classic routes and 09:30 to 10:00 for the Family route.

Finish Time

All entrants should aim to complete the route by 1830hrs.  We will operate a sweeper system to ensure everyone is accounted for and gets around safely.

For the Long route there will be a cut off at the Caerphilly Mountain feed station (which is at 14.5km) of 4 hours after stating. This equates to 3.7km per hour and means you will be finishing in approximately 10 hours.

Getting There

We are encouraging everyone to let the train or bus take the strain as parking in Tongwynlais is limited.  The nearest railway station is Radyr (a short and pleasant walk up the Taff Trail, beside the Taff).  On Saturday 28th June between 0800hrs and 0900hrs there will be 8 trains arriving from Pontypridd and Valley Lines and 9 trains arriving from Cardiff.  A similar number of trains runs per hour throughout the day.

Car Parking

We are strongly discouraging anyone bringing their car into Tongwynlais.  The roads are very narrow and can easily become congested.  There is no parking at the start field other than for emergency vehicles.  If you are arriving by car then please park on Longwood Drive, Forest Farm Industrial Estate, CF14 7YT (accessed via the Coryton Roundabout) and walk under the M4 on the Taff Trail (see map) and this will be sign posted.  Alternatively you may be able to park in Radyr and Morganstown and access the start field via the bridge at Gelynis Farm (grid ref ST 1313 8162).

Toilets

Toilet facilities will be available at the start area.

Feeding Stations

There will be feed stations on the route.  Details to follow
